Five years have gone by and it is already time for another milestone reunion. It is still hard to believe that a figure in the 60’s describes our age, or that it can have been 45 years since we left high school behind.
Most of the reunion details are nailed down now. Click on the link in the box above to go to the reunion section of the site. Here are some of the highlights:
- We have a new venue for the Saturday night event, the Ann Arbor City Club on Washtenaw Avenue, a beautiful facility with a big lawn and plenty of parking.
- The Saturday evening gathering will be a casual dress event, with a picnic buffet and pig roast, where it will be easy to circulate and talk to friends.
- Nationally known and critically acclaimed singer songwriter Bill Kirchen, a class of ’65 member, is bringing his band back to Ann Arbor to do a private appearance for us on Saturday night. A great guitarist and lyricist, Bill and his band do a really fun show that rocks the house down.
- The Friday night event will be our traditional free gathering at CUBS at Colonial Lanes.
- We’re repeating the Sunday morning walk in Gallup Park that got nearly rained out in 2005.
- We’re adding a new Saturday morning activity, a bus tour of Ann Arbor led by class member Mary Raab.
- The Sheraton Four Points Hotel is offering a discounted room rate of $99 for the weekend. See the “How to Reserve a Hotel Room” section of this site.
If you have any questions, please contact anyone on the Reunion Committee. We are excited about some of the changes for this year and we hope you will be, too.
We welcome donations of any amount to help underwrite the reunion events as well as on-going web and communication costs over the next few years. Please make your check out to "Pioneer '65 Reunion" and send it to:
